Returned @ 1530. Played fetch outside, pee/poop.
Went to animal control to finalize quarantine paperwork.
On our way out to the main road, we saw a moose on the side of the road. He went a little nuts, and remained in high stress mode for the whole ride there. Took treats, but very nippy, and attention remained outside the car. Whined at people walking on the other side of the road.
Treated him more frequently/regularly on the way back, and he did a little better.
Gave him marrow bone while I did work. Again counter-conditioning by giving him additional treats and not taking the bone away.
Dinner walk - first half with muzzle, did pretty well. Second half with head harness, less well.
No poop. Ate about 1/2 cup.
Played fetch inside with glow ball, intermittently while doing work.
Voluntarily goes to the towel/mat to relax, and chew on his toy when I'm not playing with him. The mat is a relaxing/rewarding place! Success!
Down time capturing calmness (chicken bits) while I did work.
Very brief play time outside for pee, then to bed.
