Morning walk ~ 0730, unmedicated, with head harness. A little pull-y for the second half. Pooped.
Meds after walk.
Played fetch with non-squeaking tennis ball while laying in bed. Took a nap.
Fetch outside with light blue ball.
Capture calmness while working on notes.
Did a little training to get him to spin left. Luring with food. Followed my finger without food a couple times but still not consistent. No verbal cue yet.
Drove around way too long trying to find a free space to play. Too many people at Jewel Lake. Almost got stuck at vacant lot on C street. Too many sledders at Service High. Finally settled on Abbot Loop park. Stayed on far side of the field. Deep snow prevents him from running at dogs and humans on the other side. ~ 1 hour
Returned home.
Down time while I had dinner/lunch. Captured calmness.
Did some more training. Spin left - with treats and empty hand. Still not one smooth action, but seems to be getting better.
Also worked on "go to mat". His mat is very reinforcing now, and he has been going there to relax more. Follows hand gesture and goes to mat, probably about 75% reliable with hand gesture.
Played fetch outside with light blue ball for about 15 min. Pee/poop.
Down time while working on notes.
Gave him a raw bone section filled with banana-PB-yogurt paste, on his mat. Then gave him the remaining 1/2 cup of food in the Toppl. ate most of it on mat. Mat = good stuff.
