Decent ride back home. Halfway down Independence Drive we saw a medium-size dog walking along the side of the street. Temba looked out and saw the dog directly. Did not make a sound or get too excited. Praised him for this behavior.

Encounters:
Caught a glimpse of a human+2 dogs crossing the intersection as we came down the stairs. They were walking back in our direction as we started on our walk. Ducked into a side street and waited for them to pass. Stood near the mailboxes on Valley Park. Treated him for remaining calm as they walked past. Took a few steps toward the intersection as they were heading out of sight. Closed the bar when the disappeared around the corner. Waited for about 15 sec and continued on our walk, heading in their same direction. Temba saw the dogs but remained calm. They were moving quicker than us so soon got out of range.
Walked up Colony Loop, walked past a family with 2 small children. Temba saw them and initially stiffened, but after treats and realizing they were small humans, we walked past them (other side of street) with confidence.
Came back to the street; there was a human with a small puppy (puppy was pulling a lot, and human was trying to get control). Treated him for looking and remaining calm. Walked away a little ways, but they appeared to have gone back into the Ravencrest block.
On our way back there was another human+small dog (?terrier) walking away from us in our same direction. There was also a runner+dog (golden?) moving away from us on the same side of the street. Treated him for noticing and remaining calm.
Remainder of walk (continuing behind the small dog) was excellent loose leash.
Downtime in his kennel! while I did some work.
Heard him drink some water, and then went back into his kennel. Kennel has become his safe space. Excellent.
