Breakfast walk outside with head collar. Encountered a few people, and 2-3 dogs on the other side of the street. Stayed calm and relaxed. Whined a little bit with one of the dogs, but no lunging or barking. Played fetch indoors with tuffbone, then left him with remainder of breakfast in snuffle rug.

Indoor fetch and tug with tuff bone.
Walk outside for 45 minutes. Encountered numerous people and dogs. Did really really well until the very end when he saw two golden retrievers down the street walking away from us on the same side of the street. We crossed the street and they started coming towards us. Became a little whiny and barky. Lunged at a car as it passed by. Over threshold. Walked past the dogs with me as a barrier. Downtime at home.
Gave him a small Kong stuffed with raw dog food. Remainder of dinner in snuffle rug. Downtime while I had dinner. At bedtime he entered his kennel voluntarily and lay down. I had put his favorite mat inside the kennel so that may have been the key ingredient.
