postcall

Went to hospital for about 4 AM to 6 AM.
Meds at 6 AM
Continued sleeping until 800. Let him outside for pee and then came back in for some downtime while I made breakfast.
Fetch outside for pee and poop at around 9:50 AM. He really enjoys mouthing his Kong Jumbler.
Downtime after returning inside.

Relaxation protocol day 2. Still breaks his stay when I "jog in place quietly" for any number of seconds. Redirected and treat him continuously (about every 2 seconds) while I did the jogging part.

Did a several reps of "go to mat" ~ 3 min. Got pretty consistent responses towards the end.

Breakfast in snuffle rug.

Downtime.

Took an hour nap. Tried to give him the Kong treat but he wasn't that interested.

Left him with dental chew.

Returned about an hour later. Downtime while I had lunch. Lazy fetch from bed.
His "leave it" is pretty solid while playing fetch inside and outside. Haven't tested it in off leash areas yet.

Meds @1630

Fetch outside, no poop. Stupid neighbors dog started barking loudly again and Temba went to the fence and started fighting. I tried to give him treats (cheese) which he took in a very rough way. Redirected him with the ball and played a little bit more. I went inside to give him his routine poop time, but the dog started barking and Temba again started fence fighting so I redirected him and brought him inside without poop. Downtime

Short nose work session. Then relaxation protocol day 2 again. Gave him extra treats during the jogging part. Did not break. Dinner in snuffle rug.

Fetch outside for ?pee/?poop. Stupid neighbor dog again started barking and Temba went fence-fighting. Grabbed him by the harness to keep him from bashing in the fence slats, and shoved cheese in his face. Grabbed it very roughly. Redirected away from the fence, where I continued treating him for not running at the fence (I held onto his harness just in case, and he made a couple starts) as the other dog continued barking. Barking may have been too much for him. We went back inside together; he carried the ball in.
