Went to Flat Top for fetch hike.
As we started up the how there was a truck that noisily entered the quiet parking lot. I think it was far enough away that he didn't give chase. redirected him and started hiking.
Encountered two humans at the first valley. Narrow path so they necessarily had to walk close by. I put him on leash as we got closer. First human walked by no issues, but he lunged at the second one. Probably a threshold issue. We didn't encounter anyone for a while after that. We made it somewhere halfway between the tabletop and the midway flat area. Had to turn back because it got too steep and icy, even for Temba.
Encountered a dog at the first valley on the way back. looked like a friendly dog, off leash with owner about 100 m back. Temba was busy chasing the ball so didn't notice the other dog until it got right behind him. Temba jumped around and got into an aggressive (?) pose, but softened quickly and sniffed happily it seemed.
We went around the other side of the loop so as to avoid the other human. On the way back down to the parking lot we encountered a group of humans and a dog. We moved over to the side to let them pass by and he sniffed at the dog as he walked past. I held him back by the the harness.
long nap time and downtime in the afternoon. Went out for fetch in the evening . Food in his orange ball.
