Another long Monday

Meds @ 0430.
Went for breakfast walk with head harness ~0540. Quite distracted at first, but walked with good attention after I started click-treating every step, then every few. Walked along Independence towards O'Malley. Pooped!
He always seems more on-alert on the return trip because he thinks he sees something/somebody in the shadows in the distance. Gave him treats to ?countercondition.
Ate about 3/4 cup.
Played fetch in the yard for about 15 min, with light blue Westpaw ball. Urinated some more.
Gave him the rest of his kibble in Toppl while I showered. Then gave him a (small) kong full of chicken while I left for work.
Returned around 1630
Played fetch in yard for ~30 min until he was really panting hard. I had decided to use the dark blue Westpaw ball (squishier, lighter) which he enjoyed just as much as the other. Unfortunately because it was lighter weight, at one point it bounced off his snout when he jumped to get it, and it ricocheted into the neighbor's yard. Lost ball #3.
I went to get the light blue ball and continued to play until he was tired out.
Down time for ~ 20 min, then he got restless again.
Capturing calmness during downtime.
Gave him additional med 1/2 tablet around 1800.
Took a brief nap about 30 min
Went for dinner walk 1900. Mostly good attention for 75-80% of the time. Human encounters x2
#1 - Lone human at first walking towards us on the same side of the street. Treat for noticing. We turned around and walked the other way, click&treating as we went. We turned back around, and the human was on the other side of the street. We walked slowly towards him (as he was walking in our direction on the other side of the street) and treated him for noticing but not reacting. Human turned the corner and exited out of sight.
#2 - group of humans on a side street that we had passed. They came down to join the main road, and walked in our direction on the other side of the street. We had reached the end of our walk radius, so we had to turn around and go in their direction. I treated him for noticing them but not reacting, as we walked slowly past. One of the humans had a leash presumably attached to a small dog, but neither of us saw the dog because it was hidden behind the snow bank. Good thing too.
Continued the rest of the walk uneventful.
No poop.
Played fetch in the yard with light blue ball.
[ ]I need to figure out how to get him to come in more reliably. Sometimes he follows me in, sometimes he detours and lies down in the snow.
Down time while I worked, laying on towel/mat. Capturing calmness every so often.
Barked at random ?? noise around 2030. Gave him treat, and directed him to mat -> sit, platz, relax. Capture calm.
