tired human, lungy dog

Woke up at 9 AM and we went out for a walk straight away. I had not yet given him his medication. On the way back he lunged at a car that was driving slowly towards an intersection.
We stayed at home for pretty much all day. I was really exhausted for no reason whatsoever so I took a nap midmorning. We played fetch in the article times but he really didn't get a lot of exercise throughout the day. We did do some training exercises though. We worked on "leave it" some more, and also worked on improving his "down". I think I've ruined the "down" cue through overuse, so I plan to train with "platz" (German) instead.
After he had dinner we went for his evening walk on the OMalley / Lake Otis loop. He got a little over threshold with some of the cars that went by and lunged several times. We worked on impulse control with him sitting as the cars went by. He did okay about 30-40% of the time. He pretty much remained over threshold after he started lunging however.
Once we got home I took him out to the yard and played fetch with him for about 30-40 minutes. He seems to be nice and content and tired after that.
