Messy morning.

Woke up around 530, gave him his meds.
Got up ~610. He actually jumped off the bed first before I got up. He usually lays in bed until I tell him "let's go outside" or "let's get food". So that should have been the first sign.

I had a hunch that he might need to go potty, so before giving him breakfast I let him out into the back yard. Either it was way too cold for him, or he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do, but he just stood on the deck and looked back at me.

I gave him his breakfast in the Starmark ball & slow feeder again. He was finishing up as I got out of the shower. As soon as he finished his last piece of kibble from the ball, he squatted and urinated on the carpet right where he was, in the SE corner of bedroom. This is his eating space, so why?! I made some scolding noises and slapped my thigh and got him to stop peeing. He walked to me with his head hanging down slightly. I had him stay in the "down" position while I cleaned up his mess.

Got dressed, went to Arctic Tails. As we arrived, there was another dog/human pair doing their pre-daycamp walk also. He saw them and looked interested, but didn't bark. I waited until they were past the car, then exited and walked in the other direction. (Lead attached to front clip of harness.)

We walked and ran around for the 10 min before opening time. No treats or toys. He had his attention on me most of the time, and did not pull much.

Got home around 5:30 PM. Played fetch outside with this torn up tennis ball.
Portioned out his dinner in the form of kibble, chicken, and cheese and trained "platz". then went for a dinner walk. It took a little while to get his booties on because he was a little resistant. But once his harness and had car were attached he did just fine. Excellent attention to me pretty much the entire walk. Didn't get startled by the cars. There was a human taking a walk on the other side of the street as we were walking a little ways behind us, but he didn't seem very concerned about that added distraction.
He did not poop during this walk.

Played fetch indoors until he destroyed the ball.
