Picked up at 715 from Petsmart
Short walk around Petsmart, ate about half his breakfast food.
Played in yard at home.
Tried to train "go to mat" but he thinks it's the "leave it" exercise and doesn't go for the tossed treat. I think any training with him is going to take a bit longer until he "gets" it. But I'm confident he will eventually.
Left him at home while I went to Animal Control to sign paperwork about quarantine
Played indoors
Trained muzzle wearing.
Trained leave it. Doing really well. Still haven't proofed it outside, but indoors he walks right past any food (while he is in training mode).
Went out for a muzzle walk for pee/poop. I had not witnessed a poop all day, and I was a little concerned he might eliminate in the house, but I was present all day so maybe that was enough of a deterrent.
Went out to play fetch in the yard for about 30 minutes.
Down time.
Captured calmness while watching TV. He lay down on the towel I was using to train "go to mat". A step I the right direction.
