Woke around 6am, had breakfast, then headed to PetSmart for boarding. When we arrived at the parking lot, there was another dog there also walking around with its human; a medium-sized bulldog. Temba (I think) saw the dog, but didn't react.
We moved away and took a walk around the building where he went pee/poop, seemed content with sniffing around. We entered the store and took a circuitous route to the PetHotel desk. He recognized the situation and held back; didn't want to go. Eventually I got him to the counter and handed him off to the staff. He went with them as I walked away.
I came back and picked him up around 5 PM. I asked him not to feed him his dinner so that I can do some training at home. I did a few minutes of the "giving into leash pressure" exercise using his harness. I gave him his dinner in his Kong wobbler after that, but he didn't seem to be interested in food.
I was still on call so I had to leave a few times during the night to take care of patients. I was away for about 1 to 2 hours each time. He seemed to do okay.
